We are pleased to announce that the Liebherr© R9200 platform is now available from Progress Mining.
The complete undercarriage offering includes track shoe links with the innovative slip-fit master pin design, drive sprockets, idler assemblies, roller assemblies and fitting fits.

This new platform features the same heavy duty link design as the R9400, that has been proven in mine sites across the globe for over a year and a half. Insights and information gathered from R9400 Condition Monitoring inspections in the field were used to inform the development of an updated slip-fit master pin design for the R9200, addressing opportunities identified during service. This slip-fit master pin design has been incorporated into the entire Link System platform range to support consistent design intent and performance objectives.

Above: R9200 track shoe with the innovative slip-fit master pin design eliminates the requirement of a high force press when splitting the track belt on site, making the process faster, safer, cheaper and easier.
A lot of work goes into the design and manufacture of our components. Each stage of the process is vital to produce an end product that is durable and reliable:
DESIGN
The development process begins with detailed design and advanced casting simulation to optimise material flow, minimise defects, and ensure the part geometry meets structural and wear performance requirements prior to manufacture.
PATTERN SHOP
Precision patterns are produced to accurately reflect the final design, establishing the foundation for repeatable, high-quality castings and consistent dimensional control.
CASTING
High-grade alloy steel is cast under controlled conditions to achieve the required microstructure and mechanical properties, delivering a robust base component capable of withstanding severe mining environments.
HEAT TREATMENT
Castings undergo a controlled heat treatment process in our specialised heat treatment furnaces and quench tanks to enhance strength, toughness, and wear resistance, ensuring the part meets demanding operational performance criteria.
MACHINING
Critical surfaces and profiles are machined to tight tolerances, delivering precise fitment, optimal load distribution, and reliable installation.
INDUCTION HARDENING
Critical wear surfaces are induction hardened using controlled parameters to achieve the specified case depth and hardness profile, enhancing resistance to wear and surface fatigue while maintaining core toughness for long-term durability.
TESTING
Each part is subjected to comprehensive inspection and quality checks to verify dimensional accuracy, material integrity, and compliance with Progress Mining specifications and performance standards prior to release.
