As part of our commitment to expanding our product offering the team at Progress Mining has been developing the idler yoke to suit Hitachi® EX2600, EX3600 & EX5600.
The idler yoke plays a critical role in the undercarriage, connecting the front idler to the track tensioning system. Its primary purpose is to support and locate the idler while transferring loads between the idler and the side frame, allowing the idler to move longitudinally as track tension is adjusted.
Our engineering team has finalised the designs for the new idler yokes, with the casting patterns now being manufactured in-house at our factory. The first articles will be completed over the coming weeks and products will be available to order towards the end of 2026. This addition to our component range will give Progress Mining the ability to supply individual yokes as required by our customers or complete idler/yoke assemblies. Our team also has future plans to develop idler yokes for other platforms in our range.
Plans to expand our product range also include the development of tensioning cylinders to suit Hitachi® EX2600, EX3600 & EX5600 which are in the early stages of development. Watch this space for updates!
